(70MW AC)

Know your project

The main purpose of this project activity is to generate clean form of electricity through renewable solar energy source. Lalganj Power Private Limited is the promoter of the project activity which involves installation of 70 MW solar power project at Village – Muradnagar urf Jewala, Post – Mazaffarabad, District – Saharanpur, State – Uttar Pradesh, India. The solar power project is installed in the state of Uttar Pradesh in India by Lalganj Power Private Limited, at site where no renewable/solar power plant was operating prior to the implementation of the project activity. The electricity generated from solar power plant is exported to the Indian grid, thus replaces equivalent amount of electricity generated from the operation of existing grid connected power plants which is mainly dominated by thermal/fossil fuel-based power plant. The project activity thus reduces the anthropogenic emissions of greenhouse gases (GHGs) associated with equivalent amount of electricity generation from the existing grid connected power plants and from addition of new generation sources into the grid. The project will reduce anthropogenic emissions of greenhouse gases estimated to be approximately 93,587 tCO2e/year, thereon displacing average of 100,523 MWh/year amount of electricity from the generation-mix of power plants connected to the Indian grid
